Here is the first of two recaps of the Grand Tour de Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel looking into the whys and hows. Plus some best and worst ofs after I completed the 59 Stages!
Stage 55 of the Grand Tour de Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel toured the northeast districts of Berlin and beyond. On the way back to central Berlin, a stranger stopped me for advice of buying a bicycle – the perks of wearing all the cycling gear.
Stage 50 of the Grand Tour de Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel was a very eventful Stage! Nick had to abandon another Stage due to a flat tyre and I forgot to inject bolus insulin leading to very high blood glucose.
Stage 48 of the Grand Tour de Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel would be the final visit to Berlin’s working Airports and visit the southernmost part of Berlin. Plus the importance of vowels in the German language.
Stage 47 of the Grand Tour de Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel was a major win in blood glucose management – within range the whole Stage! Plus sightings of Highland Cattle, great gravel paths in Falkenberg and the Mörderberg (Murder Mountain!).
Stage 43 of the Grand Tour de Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel was a tale of two coffees plus a pre-Stage abandonment from my special guest. I also got to take in loads of new murals around Berlin too!
I tackled one of the longer S-Bahn routes between Blankenfelde and Bernau during Stage 36 of the Grand Tour de Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel. My blood glucose was striving to make me not enjoy the ride but it failed as it was a lovely Stage in some beautiful weather.
Strausberg, aggro-stork and sightseeing were all part of the Stage 21 of the Grand Tour de Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel. It was also a long stage with extremely well-behaved blood glucose!
Stage 16 of the Grand Tour de Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel explored districts of the former East Berlin with its impressive brutalist architecture before heading back past the main tourist attractions in central Berlin.
Stage 12 of the Grand Tour de Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel travelled up to Buch and into Brandenburg to visit Ahrensfelde, Eiche and Mehrow.
